Spunk Bigga – Multi-Platinum, Grammy-Nominated Music Producer

A cornerstone of East Coast hip-hop and a key architect behind some of the genre’s most legendary records, Spunk Bigga—born Anthony Blagmon—is a multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated music producer whose hard-hitting drums, soulful samples, and street-rooted sound have resonated across generations. Hailing from Money-Earning Mount Vernon, New York, Spunk’s legacy is built on family, hustle, and an unwavering dedication to the craft.

From his early teens, Spunk was immersed in music, inspired by his older brothers—Russy, Bingo, Bob, and Arthur Mohammed—who helped pave his path as a DJ and MC before he transitioned to full-time producer. His breakthrough came through DJ/executive Eddie F, who recruited him into the Untouchables production team. There, he earned his first commercial placement with A.D.O.R. and contributed four standout records to the acclaimed Let’s Get It On compilation, featuring 2Pac, The Notorious B.I.G., Heavy D, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, and Grand Puba.

Spunk’s sound soon became a go-to across New York's hip-hop elite. His resume boasts collaborations with DMX, Foxy Brown, Cormega, Masta Ace, Memphis Bleek, AZ, and The LOX, among many others. In 1998, his production on Fat Joe’s “The Hidden Hand” solidified his status, and his involvement in crafting the iconic Big Pun hit “Still Not a Player” further cemented his influence on the golden era of rap.

Linked through mutual respect and community ties, Spunk’s journey also connected him with Timbaland, who brought him into his production crew for a stint, leading to sessions with Petey Pablo and others. Later, a reconnection with longtime friend and producer Bink! resulted in placements for Young Gunz and a standout collaboration on “The One” with Memphis Bleek and a rising Rihanna.

Never one to rest on past accolades, Spunk remained active and adaptable—most recently contributing to the Pop Smoke “Diana (Remix)”, keeping his sound alive in today’s evolving music landscape.

With decades of hits behind him, Spunk continues to push forward—not just as a creator, but as an innovator of timeless music.
